Features

  • With Velocipede you can store information about your:
    • Bicycle training,
    • Running/jogging training,
    • Ski training,
    • Swimming training and
    • Weight lifting training.
    • Four user-defined sports.
    • Race results.
    • Bicycle and equipment maintenances.
    • Fitness level (resting heart rate, weight and much more).
    • Money used on sports activity.
  • All trainings are displayed in a calendar view.
  • Use pre-defined information about your bikes, trails, training types etc. to make the process of adding new training information easier.
  • Can use information from cyclo-computers.
  • Velocipede can use information from heart rate monitors. The program support more than one heart rate monitor and cyclo-computers with build-in heart rate monitor functions (or heart rate monitors with bicycle comptuer features like Polar S-510 and S-710). Data from the Polar S-710 can also be downloaded into the program.
  • Handles both metric and non-metric units (km vs. miles, meter vs. feet etc.).
  • With Velocipede you can define your training goals and compare them against your training activity. The program will tell you if you will meet your goal or not.
  • The program also have a maintenance logbook feature, where you can add information about all bike and equipment maintenance.
  • A maintenance scheduling feature will tell you when you need to maintain you bikes based on usage time, distance or at defined dates.
  • You can also store fitness information (your weight, resting rate and several body measurements).
  • Velocipede will keep automatic track of wheel, tire and equipment usage.
  • Bicycle equipment can be defined and attached to bikes. Velocipede keep track of when and how much you use the different equipment.
  • You can define important events like rides, trainings, races etc. Velocipede can notify you for comming events.
  • General notes can be added. You can store information that might be of interrest over time.
  • With the accounting logbook feature you can use Velocipede to keep an overview of how much money you use on cycling and other sports.
  • View data:
    • Yearly, monthly, weekly and weekday training distanse, average heart rate vs. average speed and more.
    • Fitness data.
    • Graphs can be copied to the clipboard, which allow you to paste them into other applications such as Word for Windows.
  • Generate several types of reports:
    • Create user-defined report templates based on 58 different report types.
    • 26 different sub-reports which can be included in other report templates.
    • Two sets of pre-defined report templates supplied with the distribution.
  • The program also have a gearing chart calculator which you can use to find a better gearing setup for your bike(s). The result is shown in a grid and a graph. Current gearing data are stored in the document.
  • A heart rate target zone advisor can help you find the target zone for you different training types.
  • Velocipede have a spoke length calculator that you can use when building new wheels. The information about the wheels are stored in the database file.
